10/24/13- One conflict of The Kill Order by James Dasher was that the Flare was unleashed on to two cities. In one of them, there was a little girl who was immune. The main conflict was they had to get her to the Flat Trans/the PFC/to-be WICKED. It was caused because of the Flare being unleashed into the two cities. The conflict was resolved when they got Deedee to the Flat Trans. However, the Flare conflict was never resolved because there isn't/wasn't really a cure. It couldn't really be solved.

11/1/13-I think that Nathaniel will stay neutral throughout the book, instead of going towards the Patriots or the Loyalists. I think that because he seems like he would want to stay out of trouble, on the safer area. If he was neutral, he'd probably be more ignored because the Loyalists and Patriots would focus on fighting each other.

11/4/13- So far, I think the theme of Give Me Liberty is "Stay as neutral as you can" because of how the main character has not seemed to have taken a side yet.

11/5/13- I think the theme of  the poem "Battle Won is Lost" by Phil George is that no one is right all the time. I think this because for the first lines, they tell him something (e.g. "We are at war." or "Our lands are at stake.") and it is correct -- However, at the end, when they said "To die is glorious," the guy says they lied.

11/6/13- It can educate you in a fun way. Once, when I was really young, my swimming instructors messed up and put me in the advanced group because of my age. I almost drowned because they thought I could swim but I couldn't. That changed me because now I have a fear of being underwater.

11/13/13- “Canisology” is the study of mammals, in general, that fall into the Canis genus. Some examples of said mammals are Canis lupus (the wolf) and its subspecies Canis lupus familiaris (the domesticated dog). Canisologists (scientists who study Canisology) usually focus on things that the mammals have in common, such as how wolf “language” is related to dog “language” and other things. Sometimes, though, they will focus on ancestry or other things.

11/14/13- Millie and Todd were inseparable. They have been, since birth -- Even though Millie was not Todd's twin. Even though Millie was a whole year older than Todd. They both seemed to think with one mind, and they agreed with everything the other said.
"Let's paint our room orange and green." suggested Todd.
"Okay." Millie agreed, even though she did not like orange or green.
The walls of their shared room did not end up being orange and green, but they were both equally insistent. They had only ever fought once, over where to place the two blue robot toys they had.
"If you put them both right there, then they're going to fight each other!" Complained Todd.
"They won't! They're nice to each other." Countered Millie.
Being the older one, of course, Millie won the debate quickly with words that neither of them really understood but only Millie had heard of, such as hypothesis and interstellar.

2/6/14- I found the way the author writes Owen's speech interesting. He uses all capitals, unlike most authors, who would probably type it with normal capitalization and just add "He yelled" or something.

2/12/13- I'd much rather not know the time and date of my death because while it'd answer the question of when I would die, it'd also probably stress me out a lot! In the most likely scenario, I'd end up worrying about finishing everything up before then and then I'd probably try to avoid it, which might result in a lot of chaos. Plus, it'd just be depressing, remembering that you're going to die in __ days/months/years after you've had a really good day!
